ICABS Chairman

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

I am delighted to announce that the annual International Conference on Advanced Biomedical Sciences (ICABS) is scheduled to take place at CMU Shuinan campus in Taichung from December 1 to 2, 2023.

In keeping with our tradition of excellence, we have once again assembled a stellar lineup of speakers for ICABS 2023, featuring prominent experts from both international and domestic arenas. Our roster includes Members of the US National Academy of Science and Medicine, an Academician of Academia Sinica, esteemed scholars from the United States, Singapore, Taiwan, and a number of talented young investigators from Taiwan. As travel restrictions related to COVID have been lifted, all international speakers will be present in person. We encourage all participants to seize this unique opportunity to engage with these world-renowned researchers.

In response to the feedback from last year's attendees, we are pleased to announce that a special session has been dedicated to providing access to the editors-in-chief and senior editors of leading journals such as Science, Nature, Cancer Cell, and Cancer Discovery. They will share valuable insights on the process of publishing in their respective journals, with the goal of enhancing high-impact journal publications within Taiwan's biomedical research community. Distinct from the previous year, we will introduce short platform presentations alongside the poster sessions, where we will preselect several exceptional abstracts for presentation.

I would like to express my deep gratitude for the generous support we have received from the Ministry of Education, the National Science and Technology Council, Chairman Tsai, and the entire Board of Trustees of China Asia Associated University, as well as our dedicated colleagues at China Medical University and Health Care System. We eagerly anticipate your participation in this exciting scientific event and look forward to collaborating to advance the biomedical research output of Taiwan.

Sincerely yours,

Mien-Chie Hung, PhD
