Brief & Idea
Cancer has emerged as one of the top ten leading causes of death globally, significantly impacting human health worldwide. It arises from the transformation of normal cells into cancerous ones through complex mechanisms. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer initiation and suppression has become a primary focus of biomedical research aimed at combatting this global health concern. In recent years, biomedical research, both globally and in Taiwan, has seen unprecedented advancements in both quality and quantity. While notable progress has been made, modern biomedical research necessitates interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing. Close interaction and collaboration among diverse fields have become essential practices in advancing biomedical science. The establishment of ICABS aims to facilitate scientific exchange between Taiwanese experts and their international counterparts, fostering mutual benefit and progress in the field.
