RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Tai-Lung Cha was born in Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. on September 30, 1964. I entered the National Defense Medical Center in 1983 and received my Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 1990. Then I practiced as a surgical resident and finished my fellowship in Division of Urology of Tri-Service General Hospital from 1992 to 1998. In September of 1998 I became an attending staff in Division of Urology of Tri-Service General Hospital. I joined Dr. Mien-Chie Hung’s Lab as a graduate student in the University of Texas at Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Science and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 2001. In year 2005, I got my Ph.D degree by publishing a high impact paper in “Science’ and came back to serve as an attending urologist of Tri-Service General Hospital in Taiwan. I was promoted as Vice Superintendent, Tri-Service General Hospital in 2016. In addition to clinical practice, I also devote to translational research of “Cancer epigenetics, cancer metastasis and molecular targeted therapy by in vitro and in vivo models”.
